Eliot Garden Club
I am the current 1st Vice President of the Eliot Garden Club, and will become President in June! Club activities include maintaining community planters, fund-raising events such as the annual plant sale, garden therapy for seniors and Junior Gardening for children. During 2004, the club raised $28,000 to have a lovely gazebo built in Eliot on Hammond Park.
The Eliot Garden Club is open to all area residents that have a desire to share their love of gardening. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Eliot Congregational Church, McPherson Hall on State Rd. Eliot, Maine. The meetings begin at 12:45 p.m. with refreshments and a time for all members to socialize. A gardening related program or workshop follows a brief business meeting. The club also has a number of wonderful field trips each year.

“Swing for CF” Charity Golf Classic
I was proud to be a member of the dynamic committee for this fundraiser. In just five years, this golf tournament raised over $250,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Please consider CFF when making your charitable contributions! Over 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to research and treatment. For more information, visit www.cff.org.

Portsmouth Music Hall Annual Fundraiser: The Event
I’m new to this great annual event and had a wonderful time helping to organize and install the decorations for the “Seacoast’s Hottest Dance Party”. This year’s theme was “Bollywood” and my goal was to completely transform the Music Hall… it’s amazing what 500 yards of fabric and 1000 paper flowers can do!
